Changing field order

To view the current order of a database’s fields, either run a detailed table report or a quick field report.

To change field order:

Choose Schema Reorder Fields. The tables defined for your database appear in alphabetical order.
Select the table for which you want to reorder the fields. A dialog box similar to the one below appears:



Specify whether to order fields by name or by order number.
Specify from where you want to start numbering and the number by which to increment.
Choose OK. The Data Dictionary arranges the fields for the selected table in the specified order.
Choose OK to return to the Data Dictionary main window.
